Vacation Redux

So the Rwanda trip is sadly not happening… circumstances beyond our control have led to J’s planning out his next step, which may or may not result in his staying in the country.

Since that is no longer an option, I have decided to take a road trip down the East Coast. Yes, it’s kind of random, but I am not that rich and this will hopefully be a great way to catch up with old friends and see some new places! I’m still in the process of planning it out, but a rough itinerary will have me starting out on the Fourth of July weekend, making my way down from Massachusetts to NYC, Philly, Baltimore, DC, Georgia, and then down to Florida. The Carolinas are my ‘no man’s land’, so to speak, so if anyone has any suggestions on where to go or what to do, let me know!

I’ll also be taking a trip to Canada at the end of June, which is also sort of random… but hey, at least I’m going to be traveling! Can’t wait to get out of the office.

What on earth. I’m going to give myself a jaw problem if I continue to grimace like that.

Friday Blues

I definitely didn’t have a very good day yesterday. For some reason I am experiencing extreme PMS which is not normal for me. My mood swings were all over the place and I had to switch out my contacts to glasses because my eyes kept watering up for no reason. I proceeded to eat two very chocolatey cookies for dinner and chased it with a chai latte. Nutritious and delicious!

After work I bummed around Copley for a while and then went over to the movie theater to meet up with Rima. We watched He’s Just Not That Into You which was surprisingly better than I thought it would be. I couldn’t stop all these random thoughts from running around inside my head though. I am feeling very conflicted right now and I just want to crawl into bed, pull the covers over my head, and not come out until summer arrives. Doable?

PS- only one school left in the running now.

White Wedding

Another one bites the dust… wow

Thus far, out of my group of 6 very close friends in college, three are engaged, and 2 are in serious relationships. I guess it must be wedding season or something! It’s kind of crazy to think about… I mean I guess it goes to show that we are becoming real grownups. Then pretty soon the kids will start coming, and that will be sort of weird too, because it’ll be all like hey little Emma, lemme tell you about the time we went on a bar crawl, and your mom picked up this guy, and…. um, maybe not. Haha. I suppose I need to start accepting the fact that I’m not a kid anymore (the Boy tells me this ALL THE TIME. But I’m all what dya mean I’m not a kid?? ). Yikes!
