Well my b-school admission journey is officially done now… it’s going to be BU. For some reason I did not have any luck with the other schools on my list, but I really believe that what happens happens for a reason. I think that, for whatever reason, I was meant to go to BU so let’s see how things work out. I am slightly disappointed that I didn’t get more chances to present my case to the admissions gods, but I know I did the best I could. Perhaps it wasn’t the best year for me to apply, but I know that I deserve to be in business school and I am definitely very excited to be going to school in September. I am also really thrilled that this is going to be a great program that will hopefully help me get to where I want to go. No more technology transfer!
In other news, Henry is engaged and getting married in September. This is my summer of weddings– Huma in July, Chris on Labor Day weekend, and now Henry. I hope I’ll be able to keep up! It was a little odd talking to Henry on the phone tonight, because I had a few very vivid flashes of how much I used to like him back in the day, and then I realized how happy I am that nothing ever happened between us. He is a far better friend than he would have been a boyfriend, if we’d ever gotten to that point. He mentioned I’d be getting an invite and he hoped I would be able to attend. I’m definitely eager to go, but it all depends on timing. I’ll be in the first few weeks of school so I’ll have to see what my schedule is like. I am very happy for him.

This morning I was enjoying a late morning cup of coffee in bed. For some reason I decided to read some old emails from FST, which always cheers me up. I have to say, I miss that place if only for the insane conversations we used to have… hahaha. Anyway, I came across this site which Danielle had discovered back in the day. We used to go here and look at all the disgustingly creepy cards whenever we needed a pick-me-up. They are so gross!!! Can you believe people actually used to make these dishes? And who the hell staged the pictures? The captions are absolutely hilarious. I dare you to read through this and NOT laugh!

Guys:
- Will admit they’re wrong only if there is something to gain from it.
- Are threatened by girls’ night out because a) they don’t like being talked about; b) they know we check out other guys; c) we might have a lesbian experience and they won’t be there to watch.
- Every argument can be settled by rock, paper, scissors.
- Can look at other girls but it doesn’t mean they don’t like/love/dig us less.
- Have times when hobbies are more important than talking to us.
- Guy friends are not the same as girl friends. Guys don’t talk about private stuff.
- Hate questions that have no right answer (“…do I look fat in this?”)
- Have fantasies surrounding what really goes on at slumber parties– don’t ruin it for them!
- Want to do it on a balcony. Feel that night air, baby!
- Are mystified by girls going to the bathroom in groups.
- Believe girls are perfect… the only reason they go to the bathroom is to shower and do make-up.
- Enjoy grossing us out with their farts and burps.
- Like being taken care of but don’t like to admit it
Thanks to HP for some of these nuggets of wisdom
