Archangel, by Sharon Shinn- Book Review
This is one of my all-time favorite books. I originally picked it up at the end of a lazy summer vacation, thinking it would be a good read on the long drive home. There was something about the cover that intrigued me, and I just couldn’t pass it by.
The world Shinn creates is an interesting mix of fantasy, music, religion, and science fiction. I thought that there was great emotional depth to the characters, and I couldn’t believe the story had finished when I turned the last page. This is one of the few books that I finished, sat for a moment, then immediately picked up again to start all over.
I can’t say how many times I’ve re-read this book, but at this point it’s become something of an old friend– always there when I need it.
